Cell banking

Safeguard your product development with our cell banking services.

What is cell banking?

Cell banking involves the collection, characterization and storage of engineered cell lines and is an important consideration in biologics development.

At Enzene Biosciences, we offer a two-tiered cell banking process to maintain the functionality and quality of your engineered cell lines.

Understanding our cell banking solutions

What are the steps in our two-tiered cell banking process?

  1. After clonal selection, we create a primary cell bank (PCB)
  2. We split the PCB into a research cell bank (RCB) and a master cell bank (MCB)
  3. We use the RCB to create a development cell bank (DCB) and the MCB to create a working cell bank (WCB)

We characterize the purity, identity and stability of the DCB and the MCB at the start of the process, and then periodically after that.
